BCCI’s reckless decision is being criticized as a Chinese company has a significant share in Dream 11.
It seems they are proving to be right.Anyone can’t deny that the provoking country China has spread in almost all departments in India.
And the recent IPL sponsorship bid is not an exception for it.
Not so long ago, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel has disclosed that IPL 2020 title sponsorship has bagged by Dream 11 competing with three more Indian companies Tata Sons, Patanjali, Byju’s, and Unacademy. After the ‘Boycott Chinese products and companies’ campaign gained a huge response, everyone thought Vivo stepping back from the official sponsorship is a win for India.
But recent news is not so encouraging and raising questions about fidelity.According to reliable sources, though Dream 11 is an Indian start-up company nearly 13 % of its shares are owned by Tencent which is a leading Tech company from China.
As the news spread quickly, people are raising questions Why IPL authorities and BCCI opted a Chinese backed Indian company when the other companies like Reliance, Tata Sons have also bid for the sponsorship? Well, that has to be answered by BCCI authorities.
