Delta plus variant coronavirus cases are being registered in India.As a part of this, it is reported that there is a case of Delta plus variant in Tirupati, AP.Responding to this, Chittoor District Medical Health Officer Dr U Srihari said that people need not worry about the Corona Delta Plus variant.
Recently, he told reporters that there were no Delta Plus cases in the district at present as per the information from the state medical health minister and district collectors.
He said that a person under Tirupati Mangalam PHC tested positive for Delta plus variant on April 4 and was admitted to SVIMS Covid Care Hospital on April 5.
The victim was treated for Corona and discharged on April 13 and is now doing good.He said that samples were collected from him during treatment and sent to CCMB in Hyderabad for testing.The result, which came out on June 23, was confirmed as the Delta Plus variant.
Upon receiving the information, the officials conducted an in-house fever survey in the family of the victim as well as in the area where he lived and found that none of them infected.DMHO asked people to abide by corona restrictions.
