The state government has launched a campaign to increase pressure on the Center over the purchase of Yasangi paddy.As announced earlier by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, the delegation of state ministers left for Delhi.
Led by Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar, Puvada Ajay and Vemula Prashant Reddy left for the capital on Tuesday.He was scheduled to meet Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday along with party MPs from the state.
The ministers are expected to meet the Union Minister to demand that the Center buy the crops grown by farmers like Punjab and Haryana.
After the government bought the harvested grain at the minimum support price, they came up with the argument that they had no objection to how the Center would use it to meet its needs.
During the TRS wide-ranging meeting on Monday, it was decided to put pressure on the Center on the issues of minimum support price and purchase of grain in line with the directions given by KCR.
