Telangana government on Saturday solved the long pending demand of the doctors including MBBS, PG Degree, PG Diploma and others by enhancing stipend by 15 per cent.Health Minister T Harish Rao shared this news on his twitter account on Saturday.

The doctors have been demanding the government to increase their stipend in the wake of financial burden on them.

The orders issued here on Saturday read, “Government hereby enhances stipend at 15 per cent with effect from January 1, 2023 to the medical students prosecuting MBBS/BDS (House Surgeons), PG Degree, PG Diploma, MDS and Super Specialty courses and honorarium to Senior Residents.

” The announcement will cheer the medicos in government hospitals in Telangana.

They had also served strike notice stating that if the government did not agree to their demand.

The Health Minister had assured to solve the issue by the end of May.“Good news to medical students! Under the directions of CM KCR garu, Telangana government issued orders enhance stipend at 15 per cent with effect from January 1, 2023 to MBBS/BDS (House Surgeons), PG Degree, PG Diploma, MDS, and Super specialty courses and honorarium to senior residents,” said Harish Rao on twitter.
