Telangana govt Announces 100-Bed Hospital for Every Assembly Constituency

Telangana Health minister T.Harish Rao on Sunday said that each Assembly constituency in the state will have a 100-bed hospital to ensure that quality health care is provided at the local level.

The minister laid the foundation stone for a new hospital in Ellareddy of Kamareddy district.The hospital which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 15 crore in Yellareddy in the district, will start functioning by the end of the year.

The 100-bed super specialty hospital at Kamareddy is to ensure that locals will be able to avail the best of facilities in the district and there was no need for rushing patients to Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao accused the opposition parties of tarnishing the State’s image.

He urged the people and BRS cadre to counter criticism from the opposition.He pointed out that each Assembly constituency now has a dialysis centre.

Meanwhile, the minister said that 85 per cent local reservation will be provided in the B category in private medical colleges across the state and 10 per cent reservation will be given to tribal students.
