The upcoming film ‘SK21’ starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi has been officially launched.The event was graced by megastar Kamal Haasan who snapped the first clapboard to mark the official start of the film’s shoot.
The puja ceremony was attended by the entire cast and crew of the film including director Rajkumar Periasamy, music director GV Prakash, and the female lead of the film Sai Pallavi, along with Sivakarthikeyan.
Fans are eagerly waiting for the film as it is the first time that Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi will be seen together on screen.
GV Prakash Kumar will be composing the music for the film while Kalaivanan R is hired as an editor.Stefan Richter, a prominent action director recognized for his work in Bollywood films such as ‘Shivaay’, ‘Kick 2’, and ‘Dishoom’, has been appointed to create the action sequences for SK21.
Megastar Kamal Haasan and the director of the film Rajkumar Periasamy shared their thoughts on the film.During the launch of SK21, Kamal Haasan expressed his excitement and pride in collaborating with Sony Pictures Films India, Sivakarthikeyan, and director Rajkumar Periasamy for the film.
He also emphasized the power of a well-crafted story, stating that this film has the potential to move, uplift, and inspire the audience in various ways.
Director Rajkumar Periasamy also expressed his excitement about the film and said, “It’s an absolute honor to make this film and tell this special story.I’ve always been an ardent admirer of Kamal Haasan sir since my childhood and my hero Sivakarthikeyan is a very close friend of mine.” He further added, “So, this project is especially dear to my heart already.Besides, I am elated to work with two Giant Powerhouses, RKFI, and Sony Pictures Films India.”
The official release date of the film has not been announced yet.Sivakarthikeyan’s last film was Anudeep K.V.’s ‘Prince’ and he will be next seen in Madonne Ashwin’s ‘Maaveeran.’ He also has ‘Ayaalan’ opposite Rakul Preet Singh, directed by R.Ravikumar.Sai Pallavi’s last Tamil film was ‘Gargi’, directed by Gautam Ramachandran, and she is now working on the film ‘SK21’.
