Sandeep Reddy Vanga is one of the most sought-after directors in the Indian film industry.He rose to fame with his debut film Arjun Reddy, which was remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh.
His second film, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, was a huge hit in 2023.It was a dark and intense drama about a father-son relationship and a lookalike twist.
After Animal, Sandeep announced two big projects with two of the biggest stars in the country: Prabhas and Ranbir Kapoor.The first one is called Spirit, which will feature Prabhas as a police officer.The second one is Animal Park.Sandeep recently attended the trailer launch of Dukaan, a Hindi film that he is presenting.
At the event, he was asked about his upcoming films by the media.A journalist wondered if Spirit was a supernatural or horror film, based on its title.
Sandeep clarified that Spirit had nothing to do with ghosts or spirits, and that it was a realistic and gripping cop thriller.He also revealed that he would start shooting for Spirit in September 2024, and that it would be his next release.
Sandeep also said that he would work on Animal Park only after completing Spirit, and that he was still developing the script for the sequel with his writing team.He said that Animal Park would focus on the dual roles of Ranbir, and their impact on the people around them.
He also hinted that there might be a third part in the Animal franchise, making it a trilogy.
Sandeep’s fans were excited to hear about his plans, and especially the Prabhas fans were happy that he was giving priority to Spirit over Animal Park.Sandeep, however, did not reveal much about the plot or the cast of Spirit, and said that he wanted to keep it a surprise for the audience.He only said that T-Series and Bhadrakali Films were producing the film on a grand scale, and that it would be a pan-Indian film.
Sandeep also confirmed that he had signed a film with Allu Arjun, another superstar from the Telugu film industry.He said that he would work on that film after finishing Spirit and Animal Park, and that he had several other offers from Bollywood and Tollywood.
He said that he was grateful to T-Series for giving him the creative freedom and support to make his films.
