New Delhi, Aug 7 : Samsung on Sunday announced its Android 13-based “One UI 5′ beta open program that is available for the Galaxy S22 series (Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra). The One UI 5 update introduces new ways for users to personalize the experience on their smartphones, such as an increased selection of color options to give more personalised appearance.
The One UI 5 beta will initially become available in the US, Germany and South Korea, with releases in other countries planned in the next few months.
One UI 5 brings a range of new customization, security and accessibility functions in the context of Samsung’s commitment to providing the most up-to-date smartphone experiences to as many customers as they can the company stated.
“We’re delighted to give an early preview of all of the new features that can be customized with One UI 5 as part of an open beta.We’re looking forward to incorporating feedback from users to improve and create a more engaging experience for all users,” said Janghyun Yoon EVP and Director of Software Platform Team of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, Samsung.
Users can now choose from 16 pre-set colour themes inspired by their wallpaper and 12 additional color options for their screens at home, icons and quick panels to create the perfect look and feel to their personal style.
Users can further personalize their screens at home by stacking widgets of similar size in one location, thereby making space and creating an easier, more organized appearance.
“One UI 5 streamlines the process of changing the vibration and sound settings with new menus that are organized and provide an easy way to access all ringtones and vibration intensities” Samsung said.Samsung.
The first time Galaxy users are also able to customize their preferred language for their various apps.
“Users are able to capture more easily videos and photos of high-quality with the brand new icon in Pro and Pro Video mode that provides helpful tips and tricks for how to utilize the various lenses and features as well as controls,” said the company.
With One UI 5, a new dashboard allows users to view the security status of their smartphone, revealing the severity of security issues and suggests ways to resolve the issues.
