Rana Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya are two Telugu stars who are not just friends but also cousins.There are news reports that the two actors have joined hands to produce a web series together called Maya Bazaar.
The Web seris is being directed by a debutant Female director Gautami Challagulla and features Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Jhansi, Eesha Rebba, Aditi Myakal, Ravi Varma, Hariteja, Navdeep, Raja Chembolu, Sunaina Badam, Harika Vedula and others in key roles.Naveen Yadav is the cinematographer and Jerry Silvester is the music director.
According to sources, that Maya Bazaar was produced only by Spirit Media and Naga Chaitanya was not part of this project.Rana Daggubati owns Spirit Media and he wants to produce content and give opportunities to fresh talent.
The Baahubali star launched the Maya Bazaar web series officially last year in September.
Rana Daggubati had a wonderful hit with Baahubali but he had some serious health issues post that.
In a recent interview, he spoke about his kidney transplant.Rana stated, “Many people can get broken because of a physical problem and even it if gets fixed, there is a certain heaviness that will still be there.
I had a corneal transplant, I had a kidney transplant so it’s like I am almost the Terminator.(laughs) So, I was like, ‘come on, I am still surviving and you just have to keep going.”
His recent release Rana Naidu on Netflix, starring himself and his uncle Venkatesh, opened to mixed reviews for its vulgar and obscene content.Netizens and critics have completely breathed fire on it.Despite, heavy criticism Rana Naidu is getting higher viewership.
On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya will be next seen in his upcoming Cop drama ‘Custody’, where actor Arvind Swamy is playing antogonist.
Chaitnya has pinned high hopes on Custody after the debacle of Thank you.
