Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’: Power-Packed Performances and Action Promised in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Film

Superstar Rajinikanth is making a comeback on the big screen with his highly anticipated film Jailer, scheduled to release on August 10.

The movie has generated immense excitement among fans ever since its announcement.

After a long wait, the trailer of Jailer has finally been unveiled, living up to the expectations of Rajinikanths fans.The film boasts an impressive cast, including Rajinikanth, Mohan Lal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirna Menon, and Tamannah Bhatia, among others.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movies music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.Interestingly, there were reports that Mammootty was approached to play Rajinikanths role in Jailer, but due to prior movie commitments, he couldnt take on the role.

The character eventually went to Malayalam actor Vinayakan.Rajinikanth himself dropped hints about Mammoottys involvement during the trailer launch, without revealing the actors name.

As for Rajinikanths previous work, his last film Annaatthe focused on the relationship between Kaalaiyan, a village president, and his sister, Thanga Meenatchi.The movie, which also starred Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, and others, emerged as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films in 2021.

Looking ahead, Rajinikanth is set to appear in Lal Salaam, scheduled for release in 2023.
