Priyanka Chopra Discusses How Her Mom Earned More Than Father

Priyanka Chopra, a global actor and producer, spoke about the issue of unequal pay between men and women.She mentioned her own experience and how her mother earned more money than her father but there was no conflict or ego clash about it.

Chopra also said that some men in her life are not intimidated by her success, but others are.According to Chopra, men have historically enjoyed the privilege of being the breadwinners and leaders of the family.When a woman becomes more successful, it can be threatening to their position.

She suggested that we should raise our sons without gender-based stereotypes and teach them that its okay to cry and to celebrate the success of women in their lives.Chopras father supported her mothers career even when she started earning more money than him.They viewed their income as a familys, not an individuals.Chopra also praised her husband, Nick Jonas, for stepping aside and letting her take the spotlight.

She said she felt proud of him for doing that.Recently, the couple was in Mumbai with their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, for a grand gala event at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.It was Maltis first trip to India.
