Her performance as Shubra in the Indian web series ‘UP65’ has captivated audiences and garnered immense love and support from fans.

After the show’s release, Pragati was overwhelmed by the outpouring of fan love.

She received numerous messages from strangers expressing their admiration for her work.While she was happy and grateful for the appreciation, she found it challenging to respond to all the messages.Pragati felt a strong desire to connect with her fans and convey her gratitude, but the sheer volume of messages made it difficult.

Pragati’s journey into acting was not premeditated.Initially, she came to Mumbai to pursue journalism after completing her 12th grade.However, her inclination towards journalism changed when a friend suggested that she had the gift of gab and should consider acting.

Encouraged by her father, Pragati decided to follow her passion and moved to Mumbai to pursue acting.

Her initial days in Mumbai were tough.

Pragati lived in a small 1 BHK apartment, sharing it with a family of three and two other women.Despite the challenges, she felt fortunate to have the unwavering support of her parents.

Pragati had initially worked in advertising for a year before mustering the courage to reveal her true aspiration to her parents.

Pragati acknowledges that her father’s support has been instrumental in her acting journey.

Even though theater did not offer much financial stability, her father stood by her side.Coming from a background where English was not commonly spoken and the thinking was different from her own, breaking away from societal norms was a challenge.

Pragati attributes her self-belief to the upbringing and values instilled in her by her parents.

Pragati Mishra’s portrayal of Shubra in ‘UP65’ challenged stereotypes of nerdy students.The role allowed Pragati to connect with Shubra’s vibrant and helpful nature, despite their differing studiousness.Working on the show was transformative, with a collaborative production team and involvement of the novel’s author, Nikhil Sachan.Pragati also had the opportunity to observe Vishal Bharadwaj’s respectful approach to filmmaking during her time on ‘Charlie Chopra.’
