Bollywood actress and Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been embroiled in controversy over the Panama Paper leak case.The Enforcement Directorate has issued summons to Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai in the case.
Aishwarya Rai has been summoned to appear before the court.
Aishwarya Rai is scheduled to appear in Delhi today for the hearing.
However, according to the latest information, Aishwarya Rai will not appear before the court today.Aishwarya Rai has asked for an alternative date to attend the hearing.
In 2016, 11.5 crore tax documents belonging to a Panama based law firm in the UK were leaked.A report states that individuals named in the Panama Papers leak list have been convicted of tax evasion.It features the names of great leaders, businessmen, and celebrities from around the world.It also includes the names of about 500 people from India.
Bachchan’s family name has also been mentioned in the Panama Paper leak case.The case was registered against Amitabh Bachchan’s family under ED Money Laundering in connection with this case.The HIU in the Directorate of Enforcement is investigating the case.
