The inter-state water dispute between the two Telugu states is intensifying day by day.Recently, the Telangana government complained to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to stop the ongoing works on the Rayalaseema Upliftment project.
Also, in the complaint, the state government alleged that it was an illegal construction.
Political party leaders of both the states are criticizing each other.As a part of this, Narsapuram MP and YSRCP leader Raghurama Krishnama Raju penned a letter to Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat on the current water dispute between AP and Telangana.
In the letter, MP Raghurama asked the Union minister to resolve the water dispute between the two states.He said that resolving the dispute between the two enemies may be difficult.
But, the CMs of the two states were good friends and resolving the dispute between them was so easy.In the letter, Raghurama mentioned that there is a danger of escalating tensions and disruption of peace in the two states due to the water dispute.
He asked the Minister to set up a large scale security force at the Srisailam Dam.Currently, the Andhra Pradesh government and the Telangana state government have set up high security at the Srisailam-Pothireddipadu project.
