Microsoft corrects a bug in Teams that stopped 911 calls from Android

San Francisco, December 12, 2012 : .Microsoft, the tech giant, has fixed a bugs in Teams that caused failed 911 calls for devices running Android 10.
Engadget reports that a Reddit user found out that Teams was installed but not signed into would block emergency calls.

Although the phone might indicate that a call is active, it would ring only once and not properly initiate the connection.Call logs would be inactive.

The report stated that all Android apps would attempt to create PhoneAccount classes instances in the operating systems.

However, Teams created instances each time the user opened the app “cold” — this increased the chance of a sorting issue that prevented calls from proceeding.

Google talked to the Reddit user and revealed that both the company and Microsoft were planning fixes.

In addition to the Microsoft patch, Google is delivering an Android platform update on January 4 that should address its side of the problem.

Users can delete and reinstall Teams to clear any excess PhoneAccount instances, and staying logged in should prevent any mishaps.
