A major earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale on Monday jolted large parts of India and neighboring states Pakistan and Afghanistan.At least ten people killed and more than 150 injured due to the effect
All North Indian states, including capital Delhi suffered tremors for well over a minute and creates panic among citizens.Sources said Pakistan and Afghanistan too suffered heavy damage.
The India Meteorological Department said the epicenter of the quake lay in the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan, 265 km from Kabul.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded on the incident and said India was ready to provide any assistance required.
