‘Maayavan’ Sequel Launched With A Bang: Sundeep Kishan To Face A Mind-bending Villain

Sundeep Kishan, the versatile actor who has impressed the audiences with his performances in various genres of films, is all set to reunite with director CV Kumar for a sci-fi action thriller.

The film, which is yet to be titled, is the sequel to their 2017 hit Maayavan, which was a gripping murder mystery with a touch of science fiction.

The film was launched today with a grand pooja ceremony at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.The event was attended by several celebrities and dignitaries from the film industry.

The muhurtham shot was initiated by producer Damodar Prasad, while producer Venkat Boyanapalli switched on the camera.The first shot was directed by producer Gemini Kiran.

The regular shooting of the film will commence in November and will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil.The film is produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments banner, in association with Adventures International Pvt Ltd.Kishore Garikipati (GK) is the executive producer.The film marks the second collaboration of Sundeep Kishan and CV Kumar, after Maayavan, which was well received by both critics and audiences for its novel concept and engaging narration.

The film is set in the same universe as Maayavan and revolves around the clash between a common man and a formidable supervillain, who has the ability to take over anyones mind using a breakthrough in neuroscience.The film promises to be a high-budget spectacle with top-notch production and technical standards.

The film will feature some noted technicians taking care of different crafts.Karthik K Thillai will handle the cinematography, while Santhosh Narayanan will compose the music.

Santhosh Narayanan is also working on Prabhas pan-world film Kalki 2898 AD, which is another sci-fi epic directed by Nag Ashwin.The film boasts of an ensemble cast, including Sundeep Kishan, who will play the protagonist, and Pasupathy, who will play a pivotal role.

The makers are yet to reveal the details of the other cast members, but it is speculated that some popular actors from both Telugu and Tamil industries will be part of the project.
