‘Leo’ running successfully despite divide talk

This Thursday, the Tamil dubbed movie Leo was released in Telugu.It has also been released simultaneously in Tamil.

There is no doubt that the film has failed to meet expectations.The movie got mixed response in Tamil version too.From the perspective of content the movie lacks originality, as it looks like a free make of Hollywood flick A History of Violence.Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, failed to design the movie characters in a proper way.Forget about the supporting cast, even the Protagonist character played by Vijay has got loop holes.Lokesh merely stylized the movie with his techniques.

Visually, the film is good, but it lacks substance.Despite the divide talk, not so great content, the movie is generating good collections at the box office.

Usually dubbed movies which get bad talk on first day, will see a dip in collections from the second day and will be soon take out from theatres in no time.But in case of Leo, this seems to be quite opposite.

The telugu dubbed version has witnessed good footfalls on second day too, despite having competition from Telugu movies like Balakrishan starrer Bhagavanth Kesari and RaviTeja starrer Tiger Nageswara Rao.In Hyderabad, Leo got good collections on Friday with early morning shows, and in some places the movie is running with Housefull boards.

The situation seems strange, as Telugu audience never took interest in dubbed films if the content is uninteresting.But in the case of Leo, it did not work out that way.People are coming to the theaters.The audiences are fine, and the shows are good.

The film is doing well in terms of collections until the weekend.It gives the impression that the film may achieve good revenues until then.

The indications are that if it performs well till then, exhibitors might have good profits.Seems like the Director Lokeshs legacy of past films is making Telugu audience watch this movie.
