GHMC sanitation workers express gratitude through ‘Palabhishekam’.
The Telangana government has announced a Diwali gift to all GHMC Sanitation workers.The MA&UD Minister, K.T.Rama Rao has announced Rs.3,000 enhancement of salaries to the GHMC sanitation workers on Saturday.All the GHMC sanitation staff across the GHMC have elated with the news and celebrated with great happiness.A few workers have even done Palabhishekam to the portraits of chief minister KCR and KTR.
Sanitation workers have been one of the central forces to keep the city clean during the novel Coronavirus Pandemic.Expressing the same thing, the Mayor, Bonthu Rammohan said the Chief Minister recognized the services of sanitation workers in keeping the city clean during Covid-19 pandemic.Consequently, salaries of Sanitary Public Health Workers and field-level staff have increased from Rs.14,000 to Rs.17,000.Besides, Sanitary Field Assistant and other Public Health Field Assistants will get Rs.14,500 to Rs.17,500 from now on.
Expressing the gratitude, the workers performed ‘Palabhishekam’ to the portraits of Chief Minister and MA&UD Minister KTR at Indira Park.In the program, Minister for Excise and Tourism, Srinivas Goud, Mayor, Bonthu Rammohan and MLA, Muta Gopal have also participated.
