In the video, Priyanka revealed that she used to receive only about 10 percent of what her male co-stars were paid.
Kangana, known for her outspoken nature, responded to this by stating that women in the industry before her simply conformed to these patriarchal norms.She further asserted that she was the first one to actively fight for pay parity and highlighted the shocking reality that her contemporaries offered to work for free on the same roles she was negotiating for.According to Kangana, most A-list female actors do films without compensation and even resort to other means to secure roles, fearing that they may lose opportunities to the “right people.”
