IPL 2020: Sunil Narine receives a warning for elimination

Umpires have warned the West Indies bowler for a suspect action, and one more mistake will certainly pull him out of the tournament.

Kolkata Knight Riders Off-spinner bowler Sunil Narine has received a warning from IPL umpires for his illegal bowling action in Match 24 of IPL 2020 against KXIP on Saturday.

Sunil Narine successfully defended 14 runs in the final over where KL Rahul-led KXIP managed to get only 12 runs facing 2-runs defeat in the end.Narine bagged two wickets for 28 runs to help his team to register their second win in a row and place themselves at 3rd position on the points table.However, after the match, officials have reported a suspected bowling action in Sunil Narine’s bowling.

The news has confirmed by the IPL authorities in a media release on Saturday.  According to the officials, the report was made by the on-field umpires, and one more warning will result in the elimination of the bowler from the current IPL season.

He will be back only if BCCI Suspect Bowling Action Committee gives a clean chit, says the IPL statement.It is not the first time for Sunil Narine.

He was out of 2015 IPL season as well.He was even out from a 50-over World Cup and a T20 World Cup in 2016 for his illegal bowling action.
