Hyderabad Metro stands second after Delhi in the increase of daily passenger count.
Keeping aside the lockdown tensions, Hyderabad Metro is slowly picking up its revenue as the passenger count steadily increases for a few days.
Hence, Hyderabad Metro stands at the second place after Delhi Metro in terms of patronage.Ever since the lockdown restrictions lifted, the ridership in Metros across the country has been very slow.
However, Hyderabad Metro continued to maintain steady growth.On Saturday, Hyderabad Metro welcomed over 1.33 lakh passengers while Delhi Metro has registered over 14.79 lakh passenger rides.
Speaking to media, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited Managing Director NVS Reddy has expressed happiness that Hyderabad Metro has occupied better place than all other Metros except Delhi.The officials have cited Metro Suvarna offers as one of the main reasons for the better response from passengers.
It has resulted in as much as a 30 per cent increase in the ridership.
Considering the ongoing Corona situation, Metro ride has become the safest and most reliable for the commuters.
According to the officials, the discount offers were also helping to increase the ridership.Of late, Hyderabad Metro was also second in terms of passenger rides even before coronavirus.
