Hema Malini, popularly known as the Dream Girl of Indian cinema, has been making headlines lately due to her absence from Karan Deol’s wedding celebrations.In a recent interview, the veteran actor opened up about a distressing incident where a filmmaker made her uncomfortable by trying to remove a pin from her sari.
According to Hema Malini, the director wanted to shoot a particular scene and requested her to remove the pin holding her sari in place.However, she expressed her concern that the loose end of the sari would slide down, to which the crew responded that it was exactly what the director desired.
This incident led her to discuss the lack of effort by filmmakers in making their leading actors look appealing.She even expressed uncertainty about her future in films, questioning whether she would continue working in the industry.
Furthermore, Hema Malini revealed that she was Raj Kapoor’s first choice for the film Satyam Shivam Sundaram.Despite Kapoor’s insistence, her mother, who was present at the time, did not approve of the film, leading her to decline the offer.
Recently, Hema Malini, along with her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, stirred up gossip when they were absent from Sunny Deol’s son’s wedding.This prompted Dharmendra, Hema’s husband and a renowned actor himself, to publicly apologize on social media for not personally inviting his wife and daughters to the wedding.
