For about four to five years, Riteish had been contemplating directing, but being an actor, he felt the pressure of being judged.Genelia’s belief in his directorial abilities helped him overcome these concerns and take the leap.Genelia herself believed that Riteish had the potential to be a good director, having witnessed his interest in directing for a while.She expressed happiness in being part of his directorial debut by acting in the film.
‘Ved’, Riteish’s debut directorial, focuses on the life of a housewife’s efforts to win her husband’s affection.The movie was released on December 30, 2022, and was produced by Genelia D’Souza.
Both Riteish and Genelia are eagerly anticipating the Hindi TV premiere of the film on Star Gold on August 27.
