London, November 18 : .Ebony Rainford Brent shared an image on Twitter showing how she received a hateful racist letter.Ebony Rainford-Brent posted a letter on Thursday in which she stated that Ebony should ‘leave this country.’ This incident comes just days after Azeem Rafiq, a former Yorkshire player, appeared before a panel of parliamentarians to testify about racism at his old county club. “Interesting.(Thinking face).

Although there were other letters that I received in my life time, this letter is the best.Ebony wrote in response to Ebony’s photograph of the letter.
It was handwritten with blue marker and black pen.The letter contained racial insults and expletives.The letter contained sentences such as “white cricket culture, white culture” and “who invited me to my country?” The letter also called Ebony ‘illiterate and ‘primitive,’ before concluding with ‘Leave Now.Go.Get started today
Ebony, 37 years old, represented England in 29 matches from 2001 to 2010.Ebony was part of England’s winning team in the Women’s Cricket World Cup, and also the T20 World Cup for women in 2009.
Ebony was the first woman of color to represent England in women’s cricket.She is also currently director at Surrey women’s cricket, and a regular broadcaster on Sky Sports and BBC.Ebony also chairs the ACE Programme which aims to increase cricket opportunities for young black athletes.
Ebony received the MBE from the Queen for services to charity and sport earlier this year.
Ebony, together with Michael Holding (ex-West Indies cricketer), had talked about racism and Black Lives Matter in an emotional episode of Sky Sports last year.
Strong reaction was received by the cricketing community to this racist letter.Isa Guha, a former England pacer and commentator, said that the letter was “just horrendous”, while Rachael Haynes, Australia’s opener, wrote: “Disgusting.” Ebony, cricket is extremely lucky.We hope you are doing well.” Monty Panesar, an ex-england left-arm spinner, said that it was “utterly disgusting.” Ebony, we are here for you.”
England’s opener Tammy Beaumont said, “This disgusting Ebz.It’s a shame that you were subject to such vile treatment.Former West Indies captain Darren Sammy stated, “Disgusting” (Face vomiting emoji).But that doesn’t mean you can’t shine.Your star shines brightest.
