ACB’s petition on five day custody of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy in Cash for Vote scandal came to hearing today at ACB court.The ACB, which is looking to collect more evidence in the case, had sought their custody for five days.
After hearing to both arguments, ACB special court judge announced his decision and agreed with ACB lawyers arguments.Court gives Revanth to ACB custody for four days and it directed the ACB to interrogate the accused in the presence of their lawyers between 9 a.m.and 4 p.m.
The judge also directed that the accused shall not be subjected to physical or mental harassment or third degree.Meanwhile the hearing on Revanth Reddy’s bail petition was postponed to June 9.In view of his daughter’s engagement scheduled for June 11th, Revanth Reddy hoped he would come out on bail.
ACB (Anti corruption Bureau) arrested MLA Revanth Reddy Late on Sunday for trying to lure Nominated MLA Stephenson to vote for TDP’s MLC candidate in June 1 election.
