Nani and Sudheer Babu’s intense action thriller, ‘V’ had a direct OTT release on popular digital platform Amazon Prime on September 5th.Though the film opened to some mixed reviews, it is being said that Dil Raju’s decision of selling the film to OTT is receiving a lot of appreciation for his smart move at the right time.
Apparently, Dil Raju sold the film’s digital rights for Rs.31 crores to Amazon Prime Video.Reports suggest that the Hindi dubbing and satellite rights fetched another Rs.15 crores and the film made a business of around Rs 46 crores.Noted entertainment channel Gemini TV has acquired the film’s satellite rights.
The film is said to be made on a budget of Rs.36 crores including the interests on finances.The news is that Dil Raju did not spend heavily on publicity as he usually does and has pocketed a profit of Rs.10 crores from this smart deal.He got away with this project without adding a box office flop movie in his account even after the weak word of mouth the film garnered.
This film marks Nani’s 25th movie and happens to be his first project as an antagonist.Directed by Indraganti Mohana Krishna, ‘V’ has its music composed by SS.
