Daimler India aims to achieve carbon neutrality of 100% by 2025

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, a German truck- and bus manufacturer, will increase its solar power generation by doubling, boost green power purchases, and switch to electric vehicles all within its plant near here in order to achieve its 100 percent carbon neutrality goal for 2025.

Chennai, Nov 12, : German truck and bus manufacturer Daimler India Commercial Vehicles will double its captive sun power generation, increase green power purchasing, change all its internal shuttles to electric vehicles in its factory close here, in pursuit of its goal of carbon neutrality at 100 per cent by 2025 according to a senior company official.He said the company will create mini-forests, reduce power consumption, increase the usage of biodegradable plastic in packaging by 50 per cent by 2025 and use only biodegradable packaging material for all internal distributions.

According to him, the company would create mini-forests and reduce energy consumption.It will also increase its use of biodegradable material in packaging by 50% by 2025.
