Crime rate declined in Telangana State : Home Minister Mahmood Ali

Telangana Home minister Mohd Mahmood Ali on Thursday vowed that the police would take all necessary steps for the citizens’ safety and security.He also said the state police was the best in the country.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Pocharam IT Corridor police station as Minister Ch Malla Reddy and DGP Anjani Kumar looked on.They planted saplings to mark the occasion.

Mahmood Ali said the crime rate had gone down due to the wide installation of CCTV cameras.He said the government would set up more police stations and provide the necessary support to the department.

Malla Reddy said nine new police stations have been set up in the Medchal district.He said the Pocharam IT Corridor police station was needed as the area was growing rapidly.

DGP Anjani Kumar said that after the state formation, 70 new police stations had been established as also nine new commissionerates.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Home Minister Mahmood Ali unveiled The Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau(TSNAB) and the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau in Tower-B of TSPICCC.

TSNAB will start functioning from the 12th and 13th floor, while the Cyber Security Bureau from the second and third.
