After the conduct of by-polls in Tirupati, TDP and BJP candidates have filed a petition in the AP High Court seeking cancellation of the recently concluded by-election for the Tirupati MP post.They alleged that the leaders of the ruling party acted arbitrarily.
Hence they filed a petition with some evidence that some fake votes had been cast during the polls and they asked for a detailed investigation into this.
Recently, the AP High Court dismissed the petition filed by the TDP and BJP candidates.
The High Court directed to file a petition in this regard with the Central Election Commission.In the wake of evidence showing irregularities during polling, the High Court advised them to inform the Central Electoral Commission.
The High Court said that they could not make a decision regarding elections.According to the schedule, the results of this election will be revealed on May 2.Only two days are left for the counting of the votes.Hence, the High Court has revealed its decision on the petition seeking annulment of the Tirupati by-election.
In this context, Panabaka Lakshmi and Ratnaprabha, who filed the petition in the High court had no choice but to approach the Central Election Commission.
