The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) will develop tourism assets in the state under Operation and Maintenance (O&M) bases as part of providing better facilities to tourists.
It has finalized places to lease 34 places to private companies and invited tenders.
Officials estimate that the privatization of hotels, restaurants and resorts in various districts of Andhra Pradesh will provide better and improved services to tourists and generate more than Rs 2 crore a year in revenue.The new tourism policy –2025 is expected to bring several concessions to investors.
As a part of this, most restaurants and resorts in various districts of Andhra will be leased for 15, 20, 33 years under O&M.Recently, APTDC officials set their minimum price and issued tender notification.
November 25 is the deadline for the bidding process.The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation will operate one resort, restaurant and hotel in West Godavari, Kurnool, Krishna and Srikakulam, YSR Kadapa, Anantapur, and Prakasam districts through the private sector.
Two hotels or resorts in Chittoor, three in Guntur, five in Visakhapatnam and seven in Nellore district, Sri Pottisriramulu areas through the private sector.
