Vijay latest sensation Kaththi is super strong in its second week.The movie collections have crossed Rs 100 crore mark worldwide.
Director AR Murugadoss confirmed it officially stating, “Kaththi hits 100 in 12 days, still going strong.Total 100.7cr.India: 80.5.Overseas: 20.2.Thanks to all audience and media.”
Murugadoss has come up with a well-written story with a good message in it.This factor is playing a major role in the success of “Kaththi” at the box office.This is the filmmaker’s third film in a row after “Thuppakki” and “Holiday: A Soldier Is Never off Duty” to achieve the feat.The film is a second 100 crores movie for hero vijay who earlier achieved the feet with Muragadoss directorial Thupakki
There are speculations that the Vijay starrer might get remade in Hindi, with Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
It may be recalled that Akshay had worked with Murugadoss in the Bollywood remake of “Thuppakki”.The film turned out to be a big hit at the box office and earned more than 100 crore.
Earlier there was buzz that some Telugu filmmakers wanted to remake “Kaththi” with Pawan Kalyan in the lead role.But Pawan reportedly decided not to do a remake as he felt the story would not suit his image.
Meanwhile, latest reports suggest that “Kaththi” Telugu dubbed version will hit the screens on 21 November.
