Resignation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minsiter Kiran Kumar Reddy triggered intense competition between various leaders to bag the coveted CM post atleast till the beginning of elections. Many leaders landed in Delhi and started doing hard lobbying with Congress High Command and Sonia Gandhi.
They flooded them with requests not to impose President’s rule. However according to the sources Andhra Pradesh may come under President Rule.
According to officials central rule can be imposed only after Parliament is prorogued. As a result, the decision on AP has been deferred and the Union Cabinet is now slated to meet on Monday to take the call.
With Centre’s decision getting delayed, fight among various leaders only reached new heights.T Cong leaders in the meanwhile informed Sonia Gandhi that they are ok with person from seemandhra being the Chief Minister.
