Telangana Bill Rejected in Assembly

The discussion on T-bill has been concluded and in a shocking move the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday rejected the bill to create a separate Telangana state.Amid protests by legislators from Telangana, Speaker N Manohar announced that a resolution moved by Chief Minister N.

Kiran Kumar Reddy for rejecting the bill was carried and adjourned the house sine-die.The chief minister, who is strongly opposed to bifurcation, last Friday submitted a notice to the speaker for moving a resolution to reject the bill and send it back to the President with a request not to refer it to parliament.
