Actress Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence’s movie, Chandramukhi 2, hit theaters on September 28.Just a month later, it’s coming to Netflix.
Netflix recently posted on social media, revealing the movie’s streaming date on their platform.The film will be available on October 26 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
After the film’s release, Rajinikanth, a renowned South Indian actor, extended his best wishes to the director P Vasu and praised Raghava Lawrence’s performance.
Chandramukhi 2 is about an affluent family that unknowingly reignites an ancient feud between Vettaiyan Raja and Chandramukhi.
The story unfolds as the family experiences supernatural events and works to resolve the conflict.Lakshmi Menon also plays a significant role in the film.
Apart from Kangana and Raghava, the movie features other talented actors like Lakshmi Menon, Vadivelu, Srushti Dange, and Raadhika Sarathkumar.Originally set for release on September 15, the film was delayed until September 28 due to technical issues.
This marks Kangana Ranaut’s second Tamil film after Thalaivii.
The film’s music is composed by MM Keeravani, and it is produced by Subaskaran Allirahaj under the Lyca Productions banner.
Furthermore, the movie was a remake of the 2005 hit film Chandramukhi, featuring Rajinikanth, which created high expectations among the audience.However, it stirred controversy and faced criticism for its depiction of mental illness and superstition.
The film suffered from a weak script and direction, often duplicating scenes from the original without introducing any fresh ideas.There was also a noticeable issue with lip-syncing, where there was a delay between Raghava Lawrence’s dialogues and his on-screen performance.Additionally, the movie had to compete with other star hero movies, causing a clash at the box office.
