Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would resume his poll campaign styled as ‘Varahi Vijaya Yatra’ by starting its fourth phase from erstwhile Krishna district on October 1.This trip will start from Avanigadda in Krishna district.
To this extent, Nadendla Manohar, chairman of the political affairs committee of the party, released a statement. It said that the schedule of Pawan’s next phase of Varahi Vijayatra has been finalised.
Nadendla held a teleconference with the chief leaders of the joint Krishna district on Monday afternoon in view of the five days left for the start of the Varahi Vijayatra. This trip will start from Avanigadda and will pass through Machilipatnam, Pedana and Kaikaluru constituencies.
The party would soon finalise the complete tour schedule.
Pawan Kalyan is resuming his Yatra shortly after his recent announcement of a poll alliance with the Telugu Desam Party.
It is expected that the Telugu Desam leaders and supporters would extend their support to Pawan Kalyan’s yatra.
Though Pawan Kalyan had announced plans for a joint action committee involving leaders from JanaSena and TDP, to formalise a common front against the ruling YSRCP, the TDP leaders are preoccupied with the legal battle to bring Chandrababu Naidu out of judicial remand, on bail, from the Central Prison.
The Jana Sena chief is taking the stand that the arrest of Naidu was illegal and he hopes to win the support for his campaign from a cross-section of the people. He is also expected to raise the issue of how he was troubled by the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government that sought to stall his entry to AP to meet Naidu after his arrest.
While Pawan Kalyan drew sizable crowds during his previous phases of the Yatra, he still carries the stigma of a failed politician.
