During a public gathering on the first day of his three-day tour of Kuppam, his home constituency, on Wednesday, Naidu cited home minister Amit Shah’s recent branding of the YSRC as a corrupt government.

Chandrababu said corrupt practices have plagued the state.

Amit Shah should go beyond making mere statements and announce concrete action against the Chief Minister, Naidu said.

Naidu also warned YSR Congress leaders allegedly involved in illegal granite mining in the region.

He said when the TDP returned to power, strict action would be taken against those looting the granite resources of Kuppam.

Alleging that the YSRCP leaders were transacting business only with the Rs 2,000 notes at liquor shops in Kuppam, he said rowdies were ruling the roost in what was once a peaceful place.

He said he would curb rowdyism after the next polls.

Emphasizing on the inclusivity of the TDP’s mini-manifesto, Naidu said its aim was to ensure justice to all sections of the society, including women, youth and farmers.

He proposed that the creation of assets would boost revenue, which would then be equally distributed among the poor through his welfare schemes. He also announced that the implementation of his set of welfare programmes would commence from Kuppam itself after the next polls if the people elected TDP into power.

Naidu criticised Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly obstructing his efforts to construct a house.“I have been an MLA for 35 years, served as chief minister for 14 years, and spent 13 years as Leader of the Opposition.Yet, this ‘Tughlaq’ is not granting me the necessary permission to construct a house,” the TDP chief lamented.
