KCR govt ruining students’ lives : Bandi Sanjay

BJP state president and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar asserted on Tuesday that Guru Nanak and Srinidhi colleges, which lack permission, have started admitting students to engineering courses while claiming that the Chandrashekar Rao-led BRS government has been complacent in failing to initiate action against these so-called universities conducting admissions despite not having private university (autonomous) status.

Speaking to reporters, Sanjay alleged that Srinidhi and Guru Nanak Engineering Colleges are defrauding 4,000 students by taking crores of rupees for admission into their institutes without receiving the status of a private university.

The BJP state Chief said that the BRS government silenced ABVP activists who spoke out about anomalies in engineering admissions at the two institutions while failing to prosecute the offenders in the TSPSC question paper leakage case.Sanjay claimed that IT minister K.T.Rama Rao, who is facing accusations of question paper leaks, is busy touring foreign countries while the lives of thousands of students are jeopardised.

Bandi charged some police officials with crossing all legal limitations for getting promotions and harassing ABVP leaders. The Karimnagar MP said ABPV State secretary Jhansi was subjected to third-degree by the police for leading the protest.

She was targeted and locked in a room with no CCTV camera and beaten with batons.

When she resisted the atrocities to save self, the police created evidence to claim she attacked the police and filed cases against her with foisted charges, he pointed out.The police have spread falsehood against Jhansi for sharing footage to show she tried to resist.

“ Is a democratic government running in the State?; or a rowdy raj”, asked Bandi. He demanded action against the police, including ACP, who was responsible for using third-degree on Jhansi.
