Telugu Desam Party Krishna district president and former MP Narayana Rao along with TDP Pedana in-charge Krishna Prasad and Pamarru in-charge Varla Kumar Raja submitted a representation to Krishna district Collector P Raja Babu, demanding the government to extend help to the farmers, who incurred loss due to unseasonal rains.
Speaking on the occasion, former MP Konakalla lashed out at the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy led State government for not supporting farmers and demanded that the government must purchase paddy, maize, jowar, cotton and plantain, which were drenched due to the untimely rain.
He also demanded the government to pay compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre.He further asked the government for releasing pending amounts to farmers.
The TDP leader alleged that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Civil Supplies Minister K Venkata Nageswara Rao are neglecting the farmers.He demanded Minister Nageswara Rao to apologise to the farmers for his derogatory remarks against them.
TDP leaders Alla Gopala Krishna, Rama Krishna, Kurra Nagendra, Gopu Satyanarayana, Valluripali Ganesh, Baba Prasad, Kunapu Reddy Peddi Raju and others were present on the occasion.
