Kodi kathi case : ‘No conspiracy’ says NIA

In a setback to YSR Congress Party(YCP) government, the National Investigation Agency on Thursday has said that there is no polical conspiracy in 2019 kodi kathi case, where a youth attacked on CM Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport in 2019.

The NIA officials filed a counter affidavit in the case in the Vijayawada court that there was no conspiracy in the Kodi kathi attack.

It was brought to the attention of the court that Harshavardhan, the owner of the restaurant, had nothing to do with the incident.In the affidavit, it was told that the accused Srinivasa Rao was not a TDP sympathizer and attacked Jagan on personal grounds.

The NIA stated “There is no conspiracy in the case.The suspect Srinivasa Rao is not a TDP supporter.

There is no trace that this attack had any political or personal intentions.The restaurant owner Harshavardhan also has nothing to do with this.

The NIA requested the Vijayawada court to dismiss CM Jagan’s case.In response, Jagan’s lawyers asked for more time to file a counter.

The next hearing was then scheduled for the coming Monday.The NIA went on to add now that the court has started investigating the case, there is no need for investigation agencies to carry on with their investigation.

However, YCP leaders kept arguing that the Kodi Katha attack was a planned assault on him.
