Mumbai on the 12th of September : Actress Mrunal Thakur has spoken out about her thoughts on how she would like to be in love and what she is seeking in a partner , and why she often feels she would like to have a child.Debunking some of the old-fashioned notions about dating in your 30s actors Mrunal and Shriya Pilgaonkar are discussing what the dating experience in their 30s is like in the second episode of Bumble’s show ‘Dating This Nights’.
In the program, Mrunal shares what she is seeking in the right partner.
“I believe it is essential for me and my companion to comprehend what I’m going through and what’s going on in my head, and also the field we’re in.There’s a lot of uncertainty about us, so all I’m looking for right now is someone who is confident enough to accept this.It’s rare to encounter these kinds of people.”
Shriya describes this as “Energy that isn’t draining” while Mrunal adds “I refer to it as an the energy vampire!”
Shriya discusses the way we are conditioned to conform to society’s genderedand obsolete expectations of women somehow having a shelf life , and contests the notion that “Pop culture has told us that we are in our peak years and you have to have that perfect moment with your partner and the wind must be blowing in your hair, and you can see them and it’s an ebullient “palat”.”
“If it happens, then fantastic! However, it’s not need to be that way.”
“Do you feel that people in your life make you conscious of your biological clock ticking?” Shriya questions Mrunal and she replies: “There are times when I’m feeling like I want to have a child”.In a conversation about how her mother is supportive in her support, she shares “She surprised me by saying that when I want to freeze my eggs or become a single mom, it’s acceptable.I was like wow mother, this is incredible.”
When I ask Shriya about the one piece of advice she would like to pass on to her younger self she states “It’s okay to love someone, but you must acknowledge that this isn’t a functioning relationship.”
