Mumbai 12 September : The Ranbir Kapoor-Aliabhatt film ‘Brahmastra: Part 1 – Shiva The film may have received mixed reviews but it didn’t stop making money during an extremely busy weekend.According to the data provided by trade press, Ayan Mukherji’s ambitious film has earned the sum of Rs 125 crore during the first weekend of release -the film earned 37 crore on its opening day and then 42 crores in the following day and then it was the film earned Rs 46 crore on Sunday, as per the ‘Bollywood Hungama’.
Similar numbers have been reported across all websites for trade media and have unanimously declared that with “Brahmastra,” Ranbir Kapoor has produced his No.1 opening weekend, surpassing his previous best, ‘Sanju’.
The film’s global box office collections are equally impressive.In the first two days of release according to ‘Pinkvilla’ the film raked in $6.315 million or around Rs 49 crore, at the present exchange rate.with the Canadian market and US market dominating at $3.55 million and then followed by the Middle East at $1.125 million.
If the global total (though it’s of only two days) is added to the domestic number the total earnings increase to around 175 crore rupees.It’s currently the No.3 behind The Kashmir Files (Rs 337.2 crore) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2′ (Rs 262.5 crore) among Hindi films to be released in 2022.
The good news about “Brahmastra” is that there’s no major film is scheduled for release until the release of the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Vikram Vedha which is scheduled to release on September 30.
And Mondaytoo promises to bring a healthy weekday revenue, particularly since the popularity of the film’s 2D collection has increased.A domestic domestic collection north of 16 crores on Monday, as trade analysts observe, will guarantee a smooth ride for the movie.
Of the 125 crore that it has made in the nation, ‘Brahmastra’ according to the ‘Bollywood Hungama’ has earned about 16 crores in the South Indian dubbed version, “with the Telugu dub being the most popular” making in more than the sum of Rs.13 crore.
