Seoul 12th of September : South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol has seen his approval rating increase to 32.6 percent in the last week due in part to a positive public opinion of the administration’s response to the typhoon Hinnamnor according to a poll conducted on Monday. The Realmeter survey of 2,006 people who took part from September 5 to 8, Yoon’s approval rate grew 0.3 percentage point over last week’s poll, and his disapproval rating dropped 0.3 percentage points to 64.6 percent, according to Yonhap News Agency.
“Despite negative aspects such as the conflict with the Democratic Party and the strife in the People Power Party, the approval rating was increasing due to the positive views of the tireless efforts to combat Hinnamnor’s yyphoon,” the pollster stated.
The rating of the ruling PPP decreased 2.1 percentage points to 35.2 percent while the rating of the opposition’s main DP increased by 2 percentage points , to 48.4 percent According to the study.
