Los Angeles, Sep 11 : Hollywood star Daniel Radcliffe learned from Weird Al Yankovic how to play the accordion. As the musician in the biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’, the actor of 33 recalls the way Yankovic taught him to play an instrument in rehearsal for the role in the film, according to aceshowbiz.com.
“Honestly the thing we did the most work on was the accordion.” Daniel told IndieWire at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of Eric Appel’s film.
“He taught me accordion lessons which is something I could carry to the grave.I don’t require anything else.”
The actor doesn’t want viewers to learn “a moral” from the film, but hopes that the spoof will help people explore their own “weirdness.”
The ‘Harry Potter’ actor stated: “This is not a film that expects that you sit down and learn as a moral from the tale.”
“But should there be something there, it’s being open to your own uniqueness and that’s a means of finding your personal satisfaction, Radcliffe continued.”(Yankovic) is completely himself, and that’s what has led to this fantastic film, and his remarkable career.”
Evan Rachel Wood portrays pop icon Madonna in the film, but doubts that the singer will be able to react to the film.
She stated: “I don’t think she’s going to do anything at all.She is distracted by other thoughts as well as other things to be doing.”
The actress of 35 said: “I love Madonna.I’ve met her before. We’ve always been very friendly. So I believe we’re cool.I’m hoping that we’re cool. And the good thing is the storyline in this film has actually happened so I’m somewhat secure.”
