Hyderabad 11 September : The former Karnataka chief minister H.D.Kumaraswamy on Sunday called Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao here.The Janata Dal (Secular) leader met with Rao at his official residence Pragati Bhavan.The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader hosted a lunch for Kumaraswamy.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the two leaders discussed the future of Telangana as well as the importance of regional political parties in national politics, and the central role that the chief Minister Rao must take on in the national political scene in the current scenario and other political issues that affect the nation.
The gathering gains significance in the aftermath of Rao’s efforts to unite similar parties ahead of 2024’s elections.
The TRS leader is working to form an alliance with the BJP government at the Centre has been in talks with the leaders of different regional parties.
Rao has met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Vice Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav in Patna on August 31st.
The TRS chief had previously visited Bangalore and met with the former prime minister Deve Gowda as well as Kumaraswamy.
