Hyderabad 11 September : Funeral funeral rites of famous Tollywood actor and former Union minister U.V.Krishnam Raju will be celebrated with honors from the state on Monday.Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials to arrange for the funeral of Raju with honors of the state.
The chief minister requested the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make the necessary arrangements.
Raju known for his role as Rebel Star, died early on Sunday at AIG Hospital here.He was 83.
The last rites of the funeral will be conducted on Monday after lunch at Maha Prasthanam in Jubilee Hills.
The body was taken to his home and will remain until Monday afternoon, to allow his followers to pay their final tributes.
In the meantime, the leaders of diverse political parties as well as film personalities made a run to Raju’s residence to pay their tributes.
Minister of culture and the Union, G.Kishan Reddy, mega star Chiranjeevi and veteran actors Murali Mohan, Mohan Babu, Mahesh Babu, directors Trivikram, Raghavendra Rao and others paid tribute to Raju.They consoled the family members of Raju as well as his nephew, actor Prabhas.
