Chennai 10th, September : Former India coach Gary Kirsten will soon be visiting India to run regular high-performance camps for between 67 and 67 days in India at the Gary Kirsten Cricket India (GKCL) academy that was officially launched in Chennai in partnership with Sri Ram Universal School and HotFut Sports.The GKCL academy will be held at SPR City in Chennai.
In celebration of the event the first South Indian Padel Court was launched in addition to the announcement of an National Cricket Talent Hunt to be run by GKCI.
Kirsten will travel to India to lead the GKCI International High-performance camps , where he is expected to spend 7 days with the GKCI athletes and students on the ground coaching, training and assessing both athletes and coaches, according to an announcement here on Saturday.
Every city where GKCI operates is managed by an South African Coach.The coaching pedagogy as well as the c’aches education platform are internationally renowned and are the distinctive characteristic of GKCI.GKCI uses a 1:10 coach students ratio.
The cricket academy located at TSUS is the first GKCI in South India.
The academy was inaugurated in the presence of the TSUS Co-founder and Trustee, Navin Ranka, GKCI India Director Anand Mittal, officials at SPR as well as Jean Cilliers, the Head Coach of GKCI Chennai, and Daniel Seha, the Chief coach for GKCI India.

All coaching staff in GKCI are part of Kirsten’s coaching system in South Africa.Jean Cilliers will be the head coach at GKCI Chennai and will be assisted by three Indian coaches.
GKCI Chennai has 10 Cricket Nets in the site of which 7 nets are Astroturf wickets, and three nets are natural Turf wickets.
