Bhopal 10th of September : Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) head and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Saturday invited senior BJP leader Uma Bharti to join his party’s ongoing ‘Bharat Yodo Yatra’, which is led by Rahul Gandhi.Kamal Nath made this comment in response to Bharti’s assertion that there was “imbalance of casteism in the BJP government”.
At a press conference in her residence in Bhopal on Friday, Bharti claimed that leaders from various regions and castes are not given the recognition they deserve, and this could create a huge issue for the BJP in the days ahead.
In a dig at BJP, Kamal Nath said, “I agree with Uma Bharti’s claim that there is a lack of equality of castingeism in Madhya Pradesh.
Social justice is the requirement of the moment. This is only the beginning and the BJP will face further challenges of castingeism in the days ahead.I would like to see Uma Bharti in the event that she joins Congress”Bharat Jodo Yatra’.”
The veteran leader said that the Congress has established at least 34 “prakosth’ (departments) so that those who are associated with all castes and religions can be included in mainstream politics to ensure that they are given equal opportunities to represent their respective groups.
In the meantime, Kamal Nath also slammed the BJP for a comment about Rahul Gandhi’s T-shirt.
“Today BJP is looking at Rahul Gandhi’s T-shirt.
The day is not too far where they (BJP leaders) will discuss his (Rahul Gandhi’s) shoes. They aren’t seeing the people who are supporting the ‘Bharat Jodo Yotra”,” Nath added.
