Washington 10th of September : A US judge has dismissed the former president Donald Trump’s lawsuit filed against Hillary Clinton, his rival in the 2016 presidential election.On Thursday evening, the judge stated that the lawsuit did not seek to obtain “redress in the event of legal damage” rather, it was an attempt to make use of the court system to vent political grievances, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Judge Donald Middlebrooks, at the U.S.District Court for the Southern District of Florida, said Trump “is trying to promote an unfathomable two-hundred-page manifesto that outlines his grievances with those who oppose him”.
“And this Court is not the proper venue for this,” Middlebrooks wrote in his opinion.
The lawsuit was brought as a result of an investigation into any possible connections between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russia.

In March, Trump accused Clinton, who was his opponent in the presidential race in 2016 along with a plethora of other Democrats, of attempting to manipulate the election by constructing an untrue narrative that claimed the Trump campaign collaborated with Russia.
The lawsuit claimed that Clinton and her campaign colluded with the former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey, the Democratic National Convention and others who “maliciously conspired to create an untrue story”.
Middlebrooks stated: “Many of the statements that Plaintiff describes as harmful lies are clearly covered under the First Amendment.”
“At its heart the issue with Plaintiff’s amended Complaint is that Plaintiff is not trying to seek compensation for any legal harmed.”
A Trump spokesperson did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the matter.
The investigation is happening as the former president is back in the spotlight.
This comes one month after the FBI conducted a sweeping search of the Mar-a-Lago property in Palm Beach, Florida.
Republicans are in an outrage, claiming that the FBI has gone over and over the normal norms of the United States political arena.
A few notable Democrats such as the former New York State Mayor Andrew Cuomo Also, they opposed the raid.
Trump posted on social media and stated that the US was now the “banana republic” corrupt country without a rule of law.
The FBI claimed that it had “probable reason” which warranted a search because the agency believed it could discover “evidence of obstruction”, which is a crime in the US at the Trump’s residence.
