London 9th September : The death of the Queen Elizabeth II was felt throughout the entertainment industry, too, with Sir Elton John Sir Michael “Mick” Jagger Sir Paul McCartney and Dame Helen Mirren among the stars who mourned her loss, according to “Variety”.The other person who expressed his sorrow was his loved U.K.bear Paddington, who was recently featured in sketch with the Queen to commemorate her 70th anniversary as monarch.”Thank you Ma’am for everything,”” Paddington said, saying goodbye to the Queen.
Sir Elton John, who has been extremely near to the British royal family and was a close associate of Diana Princess Diana and Princess Diana, expressed the feelings of many others when he posted on Instagram: “She was an amazing person to be around, and she led the nation through many of our most difficult and dark times with grace, decency , and an authentic caring warmth.”
The pop singer, who’ll be remembered for his tune “Candle in the Wind’ he performed at Princess Di’s funeral, said: “Queen Elizabeth has been an integral element of my life since childhood to the present day and I will always miss her.”
Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger tweeted: “For my whole life Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has always been with me.In my youth, I remember watching the highlights of her wedding on television.I can remember her as a gorgeous young lady, to the loved grandma of all of us.My sincerest condolences are with the Royal family.”
In her short , but touching tribute, which came with an official black-and-white photograph of the Queen’s final moments when she was a young girl Helen Mirren wrote: “I am proud to be an Elizabethan.We mourn a lady, who, with or without the crown was the embodiment of elegance.”
Helen Mirren memorably played the monarch in the film ‘The Queen’ from 2006 which was written by ‘The Crown creator Peter Morgan and directed by Stephen Frears.The movie was set in the aftermath of Diana’s passing which was a devastating loss for the British royal family, and earned Mirren an award for best actress Oscar for her performance.
She was later cast as Elizabeth in a second time in the West End and on Broadway, in the stage hit “The Audience,” and mentions ‘Variety’.
Harry Potter’s author J.K.Rowling put the outpouring of grief in her home country in the context of her country, by tweeting: she tweeted: “Some may find the outpouring of British sadness and shock at the moment seem strange or bizarre however, millions of people felt love and admiration towards the author who humbly played her constitutional role over a period of seventy years.”
Rowling said: “Most British people have never had a monarch before So she’s been like a thread running through our lives.She performed her duty to the country to the end of her life and became an indefatigable positive representation of Britain across the world.She’s earned her peace.”
Paul McCartney expressed his affection for the woman who awarded him an M.B.E.in 1965 and awarded him a knighthood in 1997.”God thank God for the Queen Elizabeth II.Let she rest in peace,” McCartney wrote in tweets, and in the traditional British tradition McCartney added: “Long live The King.”
